MOM AND ME COMPETITION – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The Promoters of this competition are Boardwalk Mall Shopping Centre, Boardwalk Capital Hotel and Boardwalk Mall Consortium.

2. Please note that, to offer the competition, the Promoters must collect and use personal information of the participants for purposes of conducting the competition in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013. By entering the competition, participants consent to the Promoters collecting and using their personal information solely for the purpose of offering the competition.

3. By entering this competition, you accept and agree to the following terms and conditions, which will govern the competition. Furthermore, you verify that you are unaware of any reason legally prohibiting you from entering this competition and, if the competition requires the submission of photographs, artwork, or images of people, or of anything else that requires consent or copyright, that you have the necessary consent and authority to do so, if required. Any entrant who contravenes these rules may be disqualified from the competition. The rules can only be modified by the Promoters in a written revision posted on the Boardwalk Mall Website: boardwalkmallshopping.pro or any other official competition communication methods.

4. This competition is an email competition, with a participative component. Only participants who have physically written formal email to: marketing@boardwalkmallshopping.pro, and attached a photo of themselves and their mother, and agree to participate in the videographic recording and social media content and adhere to the terms of entry, will qualify to stand a chance to win.

5. You may only enter this competition if you are a citizen and permanent resident of South Africa, 18 years of age or over, residing in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and surrounds. The winner will be required to present a valid South African ID document to accept the prize. It is the winner’s responsibility to collect the prize from Boardwalk Mall Shopping Centre.

6. The competition will run from 30 April 2026 until 00:00 on 12:00 on 25 May 2026. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed, or damaged in transmission. Entries reflected on the Promoter’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.

7. If you have entered and won a Boardwalk Mall competition in the last 60 days, you will not be eligible to win this prize.

8. To enter the competition:
   1. Send an email to: marketing@boardwalkmallshopping.pro.
   2. Tell us as the promoter WHY your Mom deserves to win the makeover and prize, with you.
   3. Attach a photo of you and your mother to the email.

9. To stand a chance to win the prize, the nominated prize winners need to agree to the following:
   1. Consult with Amanda Bosch from 10:30 – 14:30 on 6 June 2026
   2. Shop for clothes, manicure and hair styling from 10:30 – 17:00 on 13 June 2026
   3. Check-in for overnight stay and makeover at Capital Boardwalk Hotel from 17:30 – 19:00
   4. All stages on the initial consult (6 June) and makeover day (13) June will be filmed by a Boardwalk Mall-appointed videographer.
   5. Content from both days will be used to promote the Boardwalk Mall, Amanda Bosch, Capital Boardwalk Hotel and Woolworths Beauty.
   6. Winners will agree to allow themselves to be featured in the recorded content by Boardwalk Mall for promotional purposes and will not claim any fees from the Mall for their participation in the competition.
   7. Boardwalk Mall will have the right to feature this content for 365 days from the date of first flighting on social media (Facebook and Instagram).
   8. You must have your own transport, to and from all venues (on 6^th & 13^th June 2026) and be able to arrive timeously.

10. If the above criteria cannot be confirmed up front, then a new winner will be selected until the qualifying criteria can be successfully fulfilled.

11. Boardwalk Mall Marketing will select 1 qualifying winner and will reply to them directly.

12. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. The winner will receive the following:

1. 1. A 1-night stay for 2 people, including breakfast, courtesy of Boardwalk Capital Hotel valued at R 2 300 B&B – standard room rate). This stay will ONLY be available on 13 June 2026. Check-out on 14 June by 10:00 am.
   2. Dinner for two at the Capital Hotel Boardwalk on the evening of 13 June 2026, valued at R 1 000. Please note that the R 1000 will INCLUDE 10% service fee. Anything exceeding the R 1 000 will be for the winner’s account.
   3. Amanda Bosch Consult for two (including shop and makeover): R 5 000.
   4. 2 x Ladies Gel Manicure from Sorbet – valued at R 700.
   5. 2 x Wash, blow, and style from The Hair Studio – valued at R 800.
   6. Boardwalk Mall Voucher for clothing valued at R 3 000.
   7. 2 x Lovisa vouchers – valued at R 300 each (R 600)
   8. 2 x Larpelo Sunglasses – valued at R 400 each (R800)
   9. Refreshments – valued at R 600
   10. Décor for the room from Woolworths – valued at R 1000.

Total Prize Value: R 15 800.

14. The prizes are neither negotiable nor transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. These vouchers will need to be spent in their entirety at the participating tenant.

15. Any breakages, theft or damages to the Boardwalk Mall or Capital Boardwalk Hotel properties will be for the winner’s account.

16. The Boardwalk Mall Shopping Centre and the Capital Boardwalk Hotel accept no liability for damages or claims resulting from any of the activities relevant to the competition or prizes.

17. The Boardwalk Mall Shopping Centre and the Capital Boardwalk Hotel are private property and both parties reserve right of admission.

18. The prizes may be subject to additional terms and conditions not mentioned hereunder, but in accordance with relevant South African legislation. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if any original prize becomes unavailable for any unforeseen reason.

19. By entering this competition, the entrant consents that the Promoter may use names and images taken of the winners for publicity purposes, without any further remuneration being payable to the winner. The winner may decline to participate in any promotional activity by notifying the Promoter in writing. All promotional material will become the sole property of the Promoter.

20. You may not enter the competition if you are a director, member, partner, employee, tenant (or employee of a tenant), agent, consultant or supplier to the Promoters, or their respective spouses, partners, family members (parents, siblings, and children), business partners or associates. You may not enter the competition if you do not consent to your personal information being collected and used by the Promoters for purposes of conducting the competition.

21. Participants in this competition hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the Promoters and their successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders from and against any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, liability for harm, injury or death, demands, expenses or any costs howsoever arising out of their participation in this competition or their use of the prizes, and/or any person with whom they share that prize.

22. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this competition.

23. The Promoters reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time if deemed necessary in their own opinion or if circumstances arise outside of their control.
